MIASALAV

Her commanding sets—seamlessly weaving bass, techno, club, house, and everything in between—demonstrate her expansive musical range. Drawing from her roots as a hip hop dancer, she infuses her sets with infectious rhythms, masterfully controlling the energy of the dance floor. MIASALAV has been a vital contributor to Toronto’s underground music ecosystem, playing key roles in forward-thinking collectives like SOAK, Combo Breaker, and Reconstructed Club, which she co-founded. She also hosted Salavate Radio on ISO Radio for two years, providing an essential platform for femme, POC, and queer DJs shaping the city’s vibrant club music culture. Her latest project is a collaboration with other POC femme artists throwing a bass focused event series called Ether in Montreal. She has been the support for many celebrated names in the underground scene such as Miley Serious, Madam X, TSVI, Pangaea, Darwin, Stef Mendesidis and much more. Now entering her producer era, MIASALAV is gearing up for a pivotal year, with several compilation releases on the horizon following her debut track, which dropped summer of 2024 on the Mexican label Wavawava.
